Community Advisory Committee
The Community Advisory Committee is a safe place for those with lived and living experience to come together and plan outreach and anti-stigma strategies and support the pillars of the strategy. We invite community members looking to learn more about the experiences of those who have lived with addiction, drug use, and mental health to reach out to our group with their questions and concerns.
This group focuses on ensuring the voices of those who have lived the very experiences that the strategy seeks to support, are heard and utilized in the process of planning and executing activities, campaigns, and services. To truly understand the experiences of individuals facing these issues, we work directly with those affected. People with lived and living experience include those with family members who have struggled and those who have struggled themselves. A diverse range of experiences inform the advisory committee, making the work that we do important in ensuring that the strategy implements solutions that target a wide range of individuals and have a higher rate of success.
